Cheshire Childrens Home

Cheshire services were started by Group Captain Lord Leonard Cheshire who was born in Chester in 1917. Leonard Cheshire came to recognize that the needs of disabled people were not being met by hospitals and other similar institutions during a period when he had to care for his friend, Authur Dyke who had incurable cancer.
