We had our club elections on the 17th of February it was quite a close race for most of the posts. The presidential candidates did give some interesting presentations and it was hard to separate them.

Secretary-Elect: LISANI THAKA
Treasurer-Elect: FIDELIS ZINATSA

How can Rotarians be involved with RYLA? |
I know it sounds silly right, because when you really break it down RYLA is ROTARY Youth Leadership Awards and so without Rotarians, its only YLA or loosely translated a case of the blind leading the blind.
So how can Rotarians be involved with RYLA, here are a few areas:
Sponsor a participant As a Rotarian or Rotary club you have probably come across a young person who you feel has the potential to become a future leader, perhaps even a future President of your Rotary club given the right amount of mentoring. RYLA is an excellent way to offer that person an opportunity to enhance their leadership skills as well as learn more about Rotary in the process.
Mentor a participant Most of the participants at RYLA are young professionals who are finding their way in their chosen careers, taking a bit of time to mentor a participant in a similiar career as your could make a world of difference in their lives.
